General Summary
Develop and implement a world class strategic sourcing capability encompassing all third party spend across ESI to deliver substantial, tangible year-on-year quality, performance and cost benefits, delivering savings to the bottom-line, in support of competitive advantage, business growth and profitability.
Guide and coach staff to deliver the needs of the businesses across ESI, developing and implementing best practice tools for greater efficiency and effectiveness, and creating and building the value of the Strategic Sourcing operation.
Develop and maintain a command of the entire business with a horizon that reaches from current business to 5-10 years in the future across all of the spend areas and associated supply markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Accountabilities)
• Direct development and implementation of a strategic global sourcing capability across ESI functions that support the achievement of Organizational operational and financial targets objectives of the Business.
• Direct development and implementation of Organization-wide world-class strategic sourcing processes, tools and systems to achieve Organizational goals and objectives including substantial year-on-year cost savings, risk management, and the building of global supplier relationships across ESI
• Ensure the effective pooling of expenditures across ESI within appropriate spend category groups and the participation and compliance of all proponents and budget holders and all internal Governance relating to Strategic Sourcing
• Directs teams to the appropriate and timely development of breakthrough category strategies across ESI, over 1-3-5 year time horizons, visibly supporting the delivery of Business requirements, goals and strategies, optimize Corporate leverage, whole life costs and short, medium and long-term value creation
• Represent ESI in the negotiation of high-risk/high value contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement
• Ensure the optimum style of contract is utilized in each sourcing situation, providing the greatest possible advantage to ESI and effectively manage risk, to limit the potential for claims from contractors.
• Direct the effective development of world class spend (internal) and world class supply market analysis capabilities ensuring complete and immediate data transparency is available to all Strategic Procurement teams
• Direct development of contractor and supplier performance standards and takes accountability for the performance of contractors and suppliers across ESI
• Develop and agree annual Group strategic savings targets which feed into the Budgeting process of ESI
• Develop and manage excellent high-level relationships which facilitates successful engagement between Strategic Sourcing teams and all internal and external stakeholder groups to maximize strategic sourcing coverage and performance
• Identify opportunities to increase financial and quality improvement for ESI via innovation of products and services.
• Measure effectiveness of team performance through the development and implementation of mechanisms for continuous improvement which ensure the goals, objectives and KPIs of the team are met and to generate significant, tangible bottom-line value
• Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with the Company's safety policies and procedures.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure knowledge of, and participation with, recognized external Procurement groups and bodies, at Procurement conferences, events, seminars and networking to gain exposure to and acquire new ideas, methods and innovation in Procurement.

Skills Requirement

  communicator and relationship manager to VP/CEO level
  corporate Strategic Procurement, with at least 5+ years’ experience in cross-organizational environments
  development and interpretation of internal spend
  development and interpretation of supply market data and analysis
  development of Strategic Procurement strategies in support of long-term business goals and objectives
  implementation of world class strategic procurement processes and governance
  knowledge of computer applications

  modern world-class global procurement techniques and approaches and facility to apply these in diverse organizations
