General Summary

Supervise and direct on site construction works/activities for Project and provide support for Project Sections team and give the necessary liaison amongst Project contractors, other company Divisions and company affiliates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee Feasibility Studies:
• Review and assess the necessary information to enable feasibility studies to be carried out for all construction project proposals.

Ensure Tender Evaluation:
• Carry out technical and commercial construction evaluations of tender submissions to enable effective decision making by relevant department heads.

Review & Implement:
• Carry out detailed construction design reviews of all project related documentation to ensure compliance with the contract and ESI standards.Carry out reviews of contractor performance both during and post project completion.
• Review, comment and evaluate all Construction Contractor/Vendor/ Manufacturer's Technical and Commercial submissions and provide quality feedback to the company
• Ensure that Company requirements, standards and procedures are detailed in all construction project specifications and that these standards and procedures are current with industry best practice.

• Monitor the works to ensure that the requirements of the Project Specifications, drawings and applicable standards are being adhered to.
• Ensure that all project activities are carried out in compliance with Company Safety, Environmental & Engineering standards through the close monitoring of all project activities.

• Managing project & contractor personnel and their activities to ensure that individual projects are executed safely, on time, within budget and achieve their overall project objectives.
• Liaise with other Company Departments to ensure the smooth progress of the works

National Development Program:
• Assist in developing U.A.E. national trainees / employees to prepare them for acquiring targeted positions in line with IDP developed as per company policies.

Policies and Procedural Compliance:
• Monitor the site construction activities to ensure that the system requirements and Company Safety, Quality, Procedures and Standards are being complied with and followed.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
• Inspections: Attend off-site meetings, visits and inspections.
• Housekeeping: Ensure all project sites housekeeping is of the highest standard.
• Recruitment: Assist in the hiring of project personnel.

Skills Requirement

  Fully conversant with the safety requirements, standards and regulations related to project work
  In-depth knowledge of civil and structural construction
  Knowledge of the construction techniques used in Middle Eastern countries
  Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office and Project software
  Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
  Strong Negotiating skill
