The desired candidate must have a minimum of 5 years working experience in a related field, and must have knowledge in the following:

• Ensure system availability by maintaining level 2 system hardware and software
• Ensure proper functioning of Steel Melting Plant Level 2 functions as listed but not limited to:
1) Level-1 interface monitoring and diagnostics
2) Models & Services (Problems recovering, Performance monitoring and parameter tuning, back-up and recovery)
3) Oracle Database (System monitoring and optimization, Security administration, Data analysis, back-up and recovery)
4) Modification of OWS and PWS as per process requirement
5) Developing and maintaining Level 2 reports and Web page
6) Maintenance of Hardware and Networking
• DRP Level 2 Modules: Ensure proper functioning of DRP Level 2 functions as listed but not limited to:
1) Raw Material Stockyard Management
2) Finished Product Stockyard Management
3) DRP Production report
4) DRP Process reports generation and data-analysis
5) DRP Delay Report
6) DRP Consumption report
• Fully conversant with WinCC HMI and SCADA package • In-depth knowledge of MS Visual C, Delphi, Visual Basic software programming and Oracle Database developer and administrator• Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software
Also, Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering is a must.

The deployment schedule of this position is May/June 2010 and will be based in Sohar, Oman.
